Literature Text

"The march of the undead".

The troops march on, they have no fear of death.
These corpses feel no pain, nothing dares to cross their path.

Their faces tell no emotions, only the hunger for slaughter.
Raping, killing and burning everything down to the floor.

Everything silent during the day, at night the soulless bodies thrives.
The undead make their ways, from city to village, making sure no one survives.

The troops march on, they have no mercy for the living.
These soulless carcasses are in need of flesh and blood, only pain will be given.

The sound of flesh being torn from the bones, corpses work as of one mind.
The pieces of meat flying around, skin and bones, the undead leave little behind.

The living who have been alerted, run for their lives, they won't run very far.
These undead carnivores come from every corner, no way to escape, only the morningsun could end this unreal war.

Leaving behind only death and decay, they won't stop until their hunger is satisfied.
The blood, the gore. A feast for the undead, a dreadfull sight.

Misty clouds have hided their arrival, they also will hide their retrieval.
As quick as they came, fulfilling slaughter, unleashing nightfilling screams, just a plain upheaval.

The troops march on, they leave the battlefield, a real massacre.
Despite all the remaining limbs, their hunger grows through and through, more and more ...
Something wicked comes along, hope you like it and that you give your thoughts about it.

Like it? How can anybody like such a sinister poem? Depression jumps from my screen right into my mind, into my soul. You can't like a piece like this.

Don't get me wrong here TB, it's good, it's more then good even!

I would probable change the 3rd line to get it more creeppy, more involving the reader:
'Their faces tell you no emotion, just hunger for slaughter'
and further on 'leaving behind, just death and decay...' of leaving nothing behind but death and decay... just for the flow.

It's a great piece, but not so good for my morning wake-up feeling. Now i'm depressed, and I blame ... well.. myself offcourse, I choose to read it... ;-) Good morning to you too my friend :lick:
